The Phoenix Suns pulled off a stunning comeback on Tuesday night, overcoming a 22-point deficit in the last eight minutes to secure a 119-117 victory against the Sacramento Kings at Footprint Center. This win could be a turning point for the Suns as they look to make a surge in the second half of the season, even though no one is outright predicting it.
The atmosphere after the game was a bit hard to describe. Facing a tough part of their schedule, the Suns managed to do something they hadn't achieved all season. It felt like a boost, but with the challenging schedule ahead, it's hard to say for sure. The team showed resilience and fought back when it mattered the most, making it one of their standout wins this season.
Josh Okogie, who played a crucial role in the comeback, expressed his amazement at the turn of events, saying, “I don’t know what that was. It happened so fast. … But to have that resolve and fight back, that shows this team is headed in the right direction.”
At a scoreline of 109-91, Okogie's block on a Malik Monk floater set the stage for the comeback. Devin Booker swiftly moved down the court, passing to Grayson Allen on the left wing. Allen, who had an outstanding night with nine three-pointers, made a crucial shot. He finished the game with 29 points, five rebounds, six assists, and two steals, preventing the Suns from being buried when most of their teammates were struggling.
In another basketball update, Thaddeus Young returned to the bench against the Celtics after starting in the Raptors' last three games. Jontay Porter got a chance at center, and Young's recent stats show an average of 4.2 points, 2.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.0 steals in his last five games.
Shifting gears, Mark Price, a former Georgia Tech and Cleveland Cavaliers point guard, reflects a humble demeanor despite his impressive basketball career. A devout Christian, Price finds his identity in his faith, citing Jeremiah 9:24, “Let him who boasts, boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things, I delight, declares the Lord.”
Price, a member of First Baptist Church of Atlanta, is unashamed of his Christian beliefs. Although he may not boast about his basketball achievements, his record as a First Team All-ACC player for three years, a Second Team All-American in 1985, and a Third Team All-American in 1986 is well-documented. His leadership led the Yellow Jackets to become ACC Champions, and he was named the MVP of the ACC Tournament during his college years at Georgia Tech.

But to have that resolve and fight back, that shows this team is headed in the right direction.
